Map of the Philadelphia Belt Line’s right of way and track
About Our Track
With the passing of the Ordinance of City Council at the end of 1890, the PBL’s right of way was granted starting at or near Hartrafnt Street in South Philadelphia and following the general direction of the Schuylkill and Delaware Rivers to the terminus at or near Princeton Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia.
PBL North
PBL has entered into an agreement with Consolidated Rail Corporation (“Conrail”) pursuant to which Conrail operates what is referred to as the PBL North–i.e., that part of the PBL’s right of way lying between Allegheny Avenue and Bridge Street.
